“Another glorious Sierra day in which one seems to be dissolved and absorbed and sent pulsing onward we know not where. Life seems neither long nor short, and we take no more heed to save time or make haste than do the trees and stars. This is true freedom, a good practical sort of immortality.” ― John Muir

From the golden foothills and rolling oak woodlands to snow capped granite peaks surrounding stunning Lake Tahoe to the majesty of Yosemite and King's Canyon, California's 4th district is one of the most spectacular places on earth.

Our district spans 10 counties which include the communities of Roseville, Placerville, Lake Tahoe, San Andreas, as well as Yosemite and Kings Canyon National Parks. This is gold country. Northern Californians live off the land or have moved here to live within it.

The District contains the headwaters for most of California and with 70 percent forest land, spanning the district, good land management is crucial.

Jessica understands the district. She has hiked the entire district on the Pacific Crest Trail and knows what a precious jewel the High Sierra is and that they have a very intense mosquito season.

As a candidate, Jessica is traveling the district, staying with her supporters as she learns more about the daily struggles the communities within the Fourth District face.
